For those of you who don't me, you won't know how big of a Baseball fan I am. For those of you who do know me you know exactly how big of a baseball fan I am. My main team is the San Diego Padres I grew up watching Trevor Hoffman close out games, and Tony Gwyn hitting 3,000 hits. Hell I was even at the game where Tony Gwyn retired his number at Petco Park, and now the number 19 is immortilized in the face of baseball. Wait though there is more to prove to you how big of a fan I am. I shook the hand of Ted Williams before he died, I saw Trevor Hoffman break the closing pitch record, I have autographed Willie Mays baseball bat, along with a autographed Puljos ball. I saw the Padres first World Series against the Yankees even though they lost (I still have the badge ticket).

Now yes I hear about it all the time how much everybody hates the Yankess. I heard this the most especially growing up in a home full of irish bostonites. But today you cant talk shit about the Yankees, mostly because a legend died, George Steinbenner. Trust me I hate the Yankees as mush as anybody, and nobody was happier when they completly sucked! Until George Steinbrenner came along and bought the yankees. He was able to transform a struggling franchise, and turn it into a devilish 7 time champion.

Needless to say a legend in Baseball died today. Even when the sport was changing into a cheating, and illegal substance using sport, George didn't. Today the last remenants of the old game finally drifted away into a better place.

R.I.P.

You see being a gaming journalist is not my current career. It's something I do for fun because I love to write and I enjoy playing games. Especially love going to conventions and covering them when I can afford to go.

My current job as of right now is Process Serving. For those of you who have watched the trutv show All Worked Up it is not at all like that. Though I do get my fair share of violent encounters from ex-inmates and crazies alike. Its alot more emotional than you see in that show.

You see I'm a Marine also, a Combat Correspondent, so it takes a lot for me to start, yea know, cry. Today was a diffrenent story. I had to serve papers to a hard working woman for child custody. In un-legal terms I was giving her the papers from her ex-husband that says she can no longer see or care for her kids. I had to read in this womans history to see if she was lethal in anyway that I was unaware of (Its just standard procedure). Nothing popped up she was a hardworking single women who is working three jobs to keep her kids in private school whos husband is ignoring his child payment services for the mother for the last 5 years and now all the sudden he wants to see his kids, and is not allowing her to anymore even though she is the one who has been looking out for them, caring for them, feeding them, and keeping a freakin roof over their heads for the past half decade.

So when I knocked on the womans door and saw that her adorable little blonde daughter answered instead my heart freakin sunk! I just asked for her mother, who came to the door, asked her if she was indeed Jane Doe, gave her the papers and left. I walked away with $120 in my pocket from the snob of a lawyer, and continued my ways.

I didn't cry in her face, nor did I cry in the car, or at home. I dont know why I didn't, but I sure as hell wanted too. This job is the reason I seek a new career in this industry in gaming media. I do strive off of conflict and work better under pressure. Every Marine does (oohrah). But when it comes to kids take me out! Even though it is 120 dollars its not woth the lack of sleep at night.

Guess what I'm doing is venting and maybe inspiring myself to achieve the career I always wanted ever since I was the 8 year old who read EGM. Well if anyone has read all of this sorry I cant give you 2 minuetes of you life back from reading my whine fest. =p
